Julius Matusewicz is an Associate at Butler. Julius works in our Tampa office, where he practices in First-Party Property Coverage, related Extra-Contractual issues, Fraud and Bad Faith claims.

Julius earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. He continued his education and earned his Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in 2017.

During law school, Julius competed on Stetson’s nationally-ranked Trial Team, the Moot Court Board and the Dispute Resolution Board. He worked both as a teaching assistant for Research and Writing I & II and as a research assistant for International Litigation and Arbitration courses. Julius also served as an editor for Stetson’s Journal of Advocacy and the Law, as Vice President of the Tax Law Society, and as President of the National Organization for Women at Stetson.

Before joining Butler, Julius served as a Certified Legal Intern at the State Attorney’s Office for the 6th Judicial Circuit of Florida. During his time at the State Attorney’s Office, Julius handled hundreds of cases, argued motions, and tried three jury trials and one non­-jury trial to guilty verdicts, obtaining the maximum sentence for each jury trial.
