Disciplined in Sophisticated Defense and Insurance Litigation

A Senior Associate at Butler, Michelle E. Durieux works out of the Miami office, where she focuses on complex Civil Litigation, especially Product and Professional Liability, and Construction. After being admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Michelle joined Butler in 2015, and is an asset to the firm with her experience litigating and arbitrating complex international commercial disputes, and with her federal multi-district litigation experience.

During her time at Tulane University Law School, she served as managing editor of the Journal of International and Comparative Law. Prior to joining Butler, Michelle served as judicial extern with the Federal District Court, for the Honorable Judge Helen G. Berrigan in Louisiana, and the Honorable Judge Jay A. Garcia-Gregory in Puerto Rico.  She is also fluent in Spanish.
