William Collum from Butler Weihmuller Katz Craig presented in Orlando, FL at the Windstorm Insurance Conference on the topic of “Commercial Claim Boot Camp: A Guide to Handling Commercial Windstorm Claims”.
This presentation aimed to give the professionals a solid foundation for understanding commercial windstorm claims. We discussed various standard commercial policy provisions that frequently arise in commercial windstorm claims and explain these provisions with respect to common adjustment issues. We also discussed topics such as who is covered, what is covered (including a discussion of Business Interruption), standard exclusions/limitations in a commercial policy, Duties In The Event of Loss, and adjustment mechanics featuring insurer and insured adjustment professionals addressing their advice from years of commercial claim experience.
