January 22, 2025

Tampa native Tenille Turner-Trigg has been elevated to Butler Weihmuller Katz Craig LLP’s first-ever female Chief Operating Officer. Tenille’s career has grown with more roles, responsibilities, and promotions during her last two decades at the Firm. She will now serve as the Chief Operating Officer over all eight Butler Weihmuller Katz Craig LLP office locations.

As the COO, Tenille oversees the firm’s strategic operations, streamlining processes, and driving initiatives to ensure continued growth and success. She demonstrates a steadfast commitment to excellence, a passion for building people, and a vision for creating a workplace where everyone can thrive.

“I am incredibly grateful and honored that I was offered the position as the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer after 22 years of hard work, growth, and determination. I am both humbled and motivated to lead with the same passion and commitment that brought me here. Climbing the ladder has been both challenging and fulfilling, and I will never forget where I started,” said firm COO Tenille Turner-Trigg.

Tenille’s goal is to build on the firm’s success by continuing to strengthen the culture where employees feel valued and motivated to stay for the length of their careers.  “I want our firm’s reputation to speak for itself – a firm that is not only recognized for excellence in service but also as a workplace where people genuinely want to be. By focusing on our culture, investing in our team, and creating opportunities for people to learn and grow,” added Turner-Trigg.

“I am very excited to work with Tenille in her new role as COO”, said Managing Partner, Denise Anderson. “Tenille has a wealth of experience and excellent communication and leadership skills. Her skill and her deep understanding of the Firm’s operations, policies, and procedures make Tenille a valuable asset to our Firm, and she is sure to be successful in this key role.”

The previous Managing Partner, Scott Katz, also praised Tenille:

“Tenille is a natural leader. She is extremely hard-working and 100% committed to excellence. But it’s her compassion and concern for the well-being of her co-workers that make her special, and that’s why she will be a fantastic COO.”

Tenille graduated from National Louis University. She started at the law firm in 2002 as the Human Resource Coordinator and served as human resource director prior to her promotion to Chief Operating Officer.
